How we helped

Working alongside Peabody and their main stakeholder partners we were briefed to provide a creative proposal for a standalone discovery centre or ‘Wonder’ Centre as signposted by Peabody for their new regeneration scheme in Thamesmead.

The scope of work was wide and varied stretching from the planning application, building design, signage design, landscaping, community engagement, interior design and full delivery as a turnkey service.

What was achieved

The Wonder Centre launched and opened successfully with its engaging and immersive customer journey helping visitors and customers to learn the Thamesmead story through exhibition style displays and graphics, digital screens, video pieces and a 4 screen media wall. Soft pastel colours inspired by the branding and creative story helped bring the space to life, using soft velvets, herringbone flooring and bold colours leaving visitors feeling welcome and giving the sales teams the perfect space to showcase the Thamesmead vision. With detailed bespoke joinery pieces and feature lighting throughout the sales and discovery space perfectly complimented the one bedroom mock show apartment unit integrated into the modular design and build to give the complete customer journey.

What the client had to say

“We’re really pleased with the final outcome. We’re really happy with where we are today and what the building looks like on the external but also on the internal, like the high-quality finishes, soft furnishings, as well as the look and feel as you walk down from the station and you can see this big glowing building which is definitely what we wanted to achieve. We wanted that ‘wow’ factor as people walked into the space, but we also wanted to have that educational area where people could learn about what’s to come. I am really happy with the final product we have here at Southmere.” – Karina Zuiderwijk, Head of Campaign Marketing
