We worked with our client to design and install a one-bedroom show apartment in Lewisham, incorporating our John Lewis furniture pack to help incentivise potential customers. The apartment was a challenging layout, working with quirky angles to best showcase the size and scale of the apartment to the highest standard. The interior needed to appeal to young professionals living and working in London, with strong transport links to the centre.
We were asked to design and deliver a one-bedroom scheme which encompasses the audience through colour and the contemporary style within the Lewisham area. We took inspiration from our research into the area and pulled on local businesses and cultural arts to inspire our palette, alongside strong colours and bold graphics to add a modern and youthful twist to the space.
The design team took inspiration from the local art culture, bringing in bold graphic shapes and lifestyle accessories to make the space feel like home. We purchased locally sourced products such as books, condiments, gin, and coffee to dress the space for a more personal and relatable environment.
We like to shop locally where we can to better appeal to the demographic whilst promoting stores nearby the development. We overcame the layout by working with the angles, playing with clever colour blocking and strong colours to frame the windows and work with the natural light.
Deeper blue hues were brought into the bedroom space to create a more sophisticated, elevated, and sumptuous bedroom retreat. A work from home space was included to the bedroom to create a cosy nook that can be stylish and functional.
