How we helped
Built on the grounds of the former Shredded Wheat cereal factory, the design needed to bring a new lease of life to an area becoming popular with a younger target audience whilst incorporating the characterful history of the site.
The brief was simple, to create a bright and modern sales office and show home with a neutral colour palette while injecting vibrant colours through statement pieces to bring the design to life.
The aim was to create a design that stood out and made an impact, yet still remained fashionable in years to come.
What was achieved
Taking inspiration from the SO Resi branding, we created a lively space with influences from modern pop art by using key, stand out furniture pieces to give the space bursts of colour and interest. Greenery was used heavily in the design to relate to the garden city status of the town.
We used a subtle white wallpaper with textural lines inspired by the lines of tree trunks to relate back to nature, paired with decorative artificial plants to compliment the local area and brand.
To create a hybrid, multi-functional space, we divided the standard housetype space clearly into sections using FF&E to allow for both show home and marketing sales space in the same location.
We carefully considered the customer journey, creating a homely welcome desk within the living room to bring a comfortable informality, bold statement art pieces to draw interest and a informal meeting space amongst the show bedrooms.
