As a Social Media Manager in our growing Manchester office, you will be play a pivotal role in delivering effective strategies to enhance the social media presence of our clients.

Working closely with our Social Media and Marketing Director, your role will be key in ensuring that our clients receive best in class social media management.

You will be an expert in community building, constantly exploring new opportunities to help our clients show up in the feeds.

As well as being a social strategist, you will also hold strong skills in content creation, planning and executing effective content shoots for our clients.

Job responsibilities

  • Execute exceptional social media management across all platforms (Planning, Creating, Scheduling, Engaging, Reporting) with attention to detail
  • Develop social media strategies, with the oversight of the Social Media Director, for clients and manage them effectively
  • End to end ownership of client relationships
  • Proactively pitch and suggest new ideas to clients to enhance their social media presence
  • Lead on influencer activations including planning, briefs and relationship management
  • Plan and oversee social media shoots to capture content for clients
  • Lead on creative briefs both internally or with partnering agencies
  • Build communities for our clients through proven growth tactics and oversee all social media communications, including in the event of a crisis
  • Lead on reactive and live content for your clients
  • Report on the performance of the social strategy against the agreed KPIs
  • Formulate and run bespoke training, ideation and strategy sessions for clients as required
  • Work closely with the media arm of the agency to understand the latest paid formats and opportunities on social media
  • Act as a social media consultant both internally and externally, delivering best practice and sharing the latest platform trends
  • Support the Social Media Director with new business pitches as required
  • Support junior team members with projects where required, ensuring strategic work across the team
  • Support the team with regards to billing, ensuring figures from the team are shared accurately and on time

Person specification

  • A degree or similar, preferably in advertising, marketing, communications, business management
  • 3+ years demonstratable experience of working in a similar position in Social Media, particularly within an agency environment
  • Proven track record of effectively managing a diverse portfolio of accounts and engaging with various stakeholders
  • Possess a keen sense of commercial awareness and demonstrate exceptional business acumen
  • Established proficiency in proactively identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities
  • Track record of consistently delivering results that surpass client expectations
  • Demonstrated mastery in writing, including strong grammatical proficiency and proofreading skills
  • Skilled in prioritisation and effective time management across multiple clients in a high-paced work environment
  • Exhibits outstanding people management capabilities, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
